Bhutan is a incredibly beautiful  kingdom on the lap of the eastern Himalaya between the global giant of China on the north and India on the south. After opening its door to tourism in early 1960s, Bhutan now is the most talk about for its scenic beauty and rich tradition and is one most eminent tourist destination. Once ranked amongst the poorest country in the world is now the fastest developing country in the South-East Asia and  among the 34 countries in the HDI. Despite being agriculture the main occupation with 79% of the population, Bhutan effort it's economic growth at 6.5% during 2005-2006 and it is expected even higher with the development in hydropower sector and tourism industries.  

The youngest democratic country in the world is also a country where Gross National Happiness is deemed more important then Gross National Product.
